OUR STORY

R.A.I.N.B.O.W Organization is a student organization created to provide an open and safe environment to speak freely on topics about equality and intersectionality in the field of speech pathology and audiology. Additionally, we hope to supply informative, real-life support to undergraduate, second bachelor degree (CSAD2B), and graduate students of all identities, primarily students of color, in a way that allows for a strong collective voice within the CSAD Department.

This group's main focus is the importance of inclusion, intersectionality, & community. The purpose of this organization is to create a safe space for all identities and primarily focus on Black, Brown and students of color within CSAD or those interested in the field at Sacramento State University. We believe that creating a space for Black, POC and intersectional identities is crucial because of the lack of diversity both visible and invisible within CSAD, SLP and Audiology and throughout the field and educational systems.
